Exemption

Section 379.321.6 exempts qualifying commercial property and casualty rating material from otherwise applicable filing requirements subject to listed-line exclusions. Recent filings nevertheless show voluntary combined submissions in which rates are marked informational only and forms and rules are reviewed.

Applies to: Commercial underwriting guidelines rates rating plans and manuals

Conditions and exceptions: Excludes workers compensation medical malpractice farm property/liability residual or assigned-risk coverage and specified self-insured-employer bonds. The Department retains authority over rate standards and policy content.

Note: Do not infer a mandatory filing merely because exempt commercial filers submit materials voluntarily or in combined packages.
