Method

Forms must first be examined and approved. A complete form filing not previously approved disapproved or questioned is deemed approved on or after 30 days from submission of all necessary requirements to SERFF.

Method

A competitive filing is effective when filed and every insurer must file used rates and supplementary rating information no later than 15 days after the effective date.

Applies to: Commissioner-designated competitive casualty market

Filer type: insurer

Conditions and exceptions: A closer-supervision order can require filing at least 30 days before effectiveness; the competitive-market order expires within one year unless renewed.

Note: The method depends on an operative commissioner finding; do not assume every casualty market is competitive.
